Desert-Silence

This scene is just outside Ghost Ranch in New Mexico during the Autumn. The desert light is soft and inviting during the golden hour, so it was an easy decision to paint it. Additionally, I painted a barn owl perched on a post because this species of owl are common in this geographical area, and they are considered the most silenced of all birds.
